In this interview we speak with Diana Moissonnier who founded Swim4Vets.org. Diana talks with us about her upcoming fundraiser where she is going to Swim the Catalina Channel! This is a 20 mile swim between Catalina Island and Los Angeles. The swim will benefit US veterans. The swim will begin before midnight on July 8, 2016 from Catalina Island and will finish when Diana emerges from the ocean, July 9, 2016, onto land along the Los Angeles coast line.Rules of the swim:
English Channel rules apply – the swimmer can only use a swim cap,
goggles, and wear a porous swim suit. No
other equipment is allowed, i.e., fins, wetsuit or electronic swim pacer. During
the swim the swimmer cannot touch or hang onto the navigation boat or
supporting kayak at any time during the swim.Swim 4 Vets has chosen two charities that benefit veterans.
